The wine is made by Joseph Carr in honour of his father, also named Joseph but nicknamed Josh. Joseph is an award winning sommelier who worked in the wine business for over 30 years before realizing his dream of starting a winery. His goal is to make elegant and sophisticated wines that are also approachable – both in style and price point. We think his Cabernet delivers on both counts. The wine is medium bodied in the glass, a wonderful purple hue with aromas of dark fruit, baking spices and a hint of smoke and earth. The wine has a juicy fruit filled note up front, layered with earth and spice with just a hint of tannins underneath. Smooth and balanced right from the get go, this wine is a perfect “pop and pour” to take to dinner!
